Edufarm's Chinese language programme covers pre-school through to secondary — from early Mandarin songs and stories for young children to comprehension and composition technique for primary students and essay craft for secondary students.
The programme tackles comprehension first — the section most students find hardest and where the most marks are lost. Each class combines structured comprehension technique, storybook reading-response to grow vocabulary naturally, weekly conversation practice and Chinese cultural context through festivals, idioms and stories.
Classes are 1.5 hours per week. The focus is quality over volume: 90 minutes of structured comprehension practice, guided reading and conversation is more effective than drilling worksheets.
Edufarm accepts students at any level. For pre-schoolers, the focus is building an early positive relationship with Mandarin through songs, stories and play. For primary students, structured comprehension and composition technique is introduced. For secondary students, the focus shifts to essay craft and oral confidence.
