More than a farm visit

At WholeSnail, Singapore's first-of-its-kind commercial snail farm, snails are raised in a temperature-controlled indoor farm — which means tours run rain or shine in a sheltered, comfortable setting. It's a working heliciculture (snail farming) operation that produces ready-to-eat escargot and cosmeceutical-grade snail slime, and a fascinating classroom for curious minds of every age.

Participants meet the farm's European garden snails (Cornu aspersum, the classic escargot) at every stage of life, learn why snails are nature's underrated superheroes — soil boosters, food-chain connectors and tiny "green alarms" for ecosystem health — and discover the farm's zero-waste philosophy: the snails feast on surplus produce from local farms, snail meat becomes food, slime is refined into wellness products, and shells inspire art and craft.

🐌

Meet the snails up close

Get cozy with the farm's stars in the petting zone — gently hold and interact with live snails under guided supervision, a moment both children and seniors remember.

🥚

The snail life cycle

Follow the snail from egg through baby, grower and adult — see snails at every stage of life and learn how the farm reads its snails' "body language" to keep them happy.

🌱

Sustainable farming up close

See how farmed snails are raised on fresh greens and surplus produce from local farms — turning would-be food waste into nourishment — in a tightly managed, biosecure indoor facility.

🥗

Snail superfood facts

Discover why escargot is a nutritional powerhouse — gram for gram, snail meat packs more protein and iron than beef, with less fat, plus omega-3, iron and magnesium.

🌍

Ecosystem heroes

Learn why snails matter far beyond the farm: they recycle leaves and organic matter, sit in the middle of the food chain, and act as sensitive "green alarms" for pollution.

🎨

Hands-on craft

Paint your own snail shell to take home — a creative, tactile keepsake that turns the morning's learning into a story children can share.
